Definition: A man Who is a practitioner of engineering, concerned about scientific matter of math, physics ,chemistry. Who find out the solutions for technical problems. Who is a good designer of  systems.  Who is concern about the limitations of cost,safety.  The word engineer is derived from the Latin words "ingeniare".

Works Of Engineer:The work of engineers is about  scientific discoveries. And make ensure  their right applications to the quality of human life and our environment. 

Role Of Engineer:Engineers have three vital role in his work field. These are described below.

Design: Designing is the first and most important role for engineer. A good engineer means a good designer. A good engineer should spent his 56% time about designing purposes. So we can easily understand about the importance of designing. And it is also recommended that when an engineer start a design he or she should spent 14% time among his job for information collecting purposes.

So it is clear that information collecting is a vital matter about designing.

Analysis: Analysis for the designing work is the second role of engineering. Unless analysis designing has no value. Production, success, failure of a construction or factories depends on proper analysis.At analysis steps engineer analysis the cost and duration of project. Under engineering analysis applications of scientific analytic and processes to reveal the properties and system of government , using device or principles are come out. Risk and safety managements are also come at this steps. 

Specialization and management : It is the third part of engineering. In total times for this purposes, research of different organization said that 

62.92% time engineer spend for engaging in technical work. 

40.37% they spent for social work. 

49.66% time for computer works, when computer works needed.

So it is very much clear form this observations is that technical work is the most important part. So a good engineer should have quite enough and sound knowledge about the world technology. 

when computer works needed, they spend huge time for computer. So the engineer unless enough knowledge over computer he or she can not capable of doing projects work. But it is unfortunately true that most of the bangladeshi engineering students is not concern about that matter also the teacher who teach them. They adopt ancient traditional methods for their educational purpose. That matter kick them behind from the modern world. 

Types of engineer: Types of engineer is based on their projects, jobs, and what they perform in the field. The engineer who works with civil works is called civil engineer.The engineer who is the good designer and analyzer of mechanical based platform are mechanical engineer.
